another forum?

Post by fonhorn » Fri Jun 04, 2010 1:35 am

Is there another forum somewhere on the Internet where Craft Animation plugin users communicate freely with each other, share information and problems without having to be approved by some unknown authority?

Hi Fonhorn,

The reason why we need to authorize posts is because of problems with spammers. We are still quite a small forum and we actually get more spammers registered than authentic users. Therefore we were forced to lock down the posting.

However, it's only your first post that needs manual authentication by us. After you have been authenticated a valid user, you are free to post as you wish.

I want to emphasize that we never use the authentication function to filter out posts in any way. Posts we deny are simply advertisement posts and spam.

I do not actually know any other forum that is simply for Craft Director Studio. The thing why we have approval on this forum is that we have had a large problem with bad posts and I am not talking about "bad" posts for CDS because we let those trough. I am talking about people posting commercial messages that have nothing to do with Craft Director Studio.
We will remove this approving in the near future and believe me if there is someone that wants to have the forum totally open, without the posts that has nothing to do with Craft, it is me.

Thanks to both of you. Now, I understand.

Micael, if you look to the right of my previous post, you'll see that this was my 14th post.

Yeah, me and Patrik had a talk after we both answered your post pretty much simultanously
And we noticed that this wasn't your first post. Apparently something isn't working properly with the authentication function and we'll have to take a look what's wrong.

Anyway, it's more of a convenience problem on our side; we simply have to go through more posts manually in the meantime we find a solution.
