i wana know how to use craft Suspension tool,because i've tested but i have no successful results

Start by positioning Suspension_01_UpperHold and Suspension_01_LowerHold at each end of the suspension. Parent them to the objects that they are going to be positioned to. Then enter the configuration window for Craft Suspension and click Initialize. Finally parent your high poly model suspension to Suspension_01_Spring.
Press Record (or use Resimulate for quicker result) to see the results in real-time.

Ok so I made a rig so that you are able to see how I would do it. The green/yellow meshes are three different instances of the Craft Suspension Utility. Parent/Link the UpperHolds and LowerHolds to the mesh it is suppose to be stuck to. The moving middle part you can either parent to one of the Holds or the Spring.benji wrote:hi

But....
With the 4wheelerExt, can a wheel also pivot around a suspension whishbone?
sofar i'm unable to do just that, i only getting it to go up and down, but i want it to pivot like it is suppose to do..

Hi Rien.
As Carl mentionen this version cannot rotate the wheels around a wishbone pivot, but as long as the deviations are moderate you are quite safe with patrik's description above.
An enhancement is scheduled for january/february, so keep posted.
The below link is a 32-bit beta version of the upcoming hotfix release of 4wext.
Simply copy it into x:\program files (x86)\craft\cdt\plugins and overwrite the old dll (or move the old dll to another folder just in case).
After creating the car select the Factory Settings preset to make everything correctly.
The enhancements are much improved skid braking, improved and more stable autonomous mode, camber angle, tire pressure.

I am trying to rig a suspension.
I am following the step in the help documentation, but I don't get any rotation in the wishbones, they just bounce up and down.
Is there something specific to do to fix this issue?

Hi I manage to get the suspension to work.
However, when starting the simulation, the wheel drops at the first frame and the suspension is stretched (the car is not moving).
I am trying to get the suspension in rest position to stay as it is. Then get stretch or compress when the car is moving.
Any idea how to achieve this?

Record the car first. Then drag the time slider to the position where the car has dropped to the ground and enter the configuration for the suspension and press "Initialize" and then record the suspension from that frame.Yannick wrote:Hi I manage to get the suspension to work.

The issue I have is that I get an offset between the original position and the postion of the car when resting.
What I am doing is the following:
Load the 4WheelerExt
Match the overall size of my car
Match the wheels position, when doing this the postion of the wheel relative to the car changes.
At this point everything is at the right position.
Then I start recording. The car drops which moves the suspension up and down, but the car doesn't get back to the original "relative" position. The body is slightly more away from the wheels than in the orignal position.
Therefore the gap between my wheel and he car is bigger than what it is supposed to be in the rest position.
I will probably try to re-do the setup and see if I do anything different.

That will be ok, as I mentioned, you can strip (delete) the scene of the confidential data and just leave our tools.

I have reopen the file (as I was working on something else). It looks like the car is actually leaning on one side. The weird thing is that I did the set up twice and got the same result.
The car is perfectly flat. I will look into more details and let you know.
