Hi,
After merging craft vehicles to another scene nothing happens. They don't show up in craft. After rebooting max and relaunching the scene I get error The following nodes were left out. See the image Thanks
I have the latest 3ds max 2023.3 and craft.

Re: Cannot merge cars to another 3ds max scene
Also in 3ds max 2023 after merging craft never shows up. Max must be rebooted. In older max this never happened

Hi, we will check on this. Usually it works to merge, then save then reopen. But sound like this is not functional at the moment.

Re: Cannot merge cars to another 3ds max scene
So, yes I can confirm there is an issue with the merging. We will check this and try to solve.
The problem:
Using auto rename upon merging a rig that has the same name as the scene will make it lose its connection to CDS.
Workaround:
1. Before merging change the name of the rig, with the same name, to something different via CDS treeview. 2. Save the scene
3. Open the scene again

Re: Cannot merge cars to another 3ds max scene
CraftAnimation merge function is completely broken in 3ds Max since version 2021. I recently had to animate a few tanks. I created rig in Max2022. I tried to merge this rig to another Max2022 file to have a few copies of the tanks and all my attempts were not successful. I tried to rename CA rig before merging. It didn't help. The only solution was to save Max2022 file with CA rig to Max2021, make all merges in Max2021 and load this file back to Max2022. This needs to be fixed.
Re: Cannot merge cars to another 3ds max scene
Yeah. Temp fix for us. Unique name for each car. Then merging. Then saving and closing 3ds max. Then reopening the scene with a merged craft car.Vipera wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2023 6:13 pmCraftAnimation merge function is completely broken in 3ds Max since version 2021. Re: Cannot merge cars to another 3ds max scene
This approach didn't work for me. After merging second rig, saving file, loading again and checking rig I had a situation with all links broken in one of the rigs. It could be depended on rig. Some of them work, some of them not.
