Extra Wheel and ChassisRelocationMesh
I need to roll a 10 wheel vehicle with 4WExt. The vehicle has 6 Extra Wheels. The ChassisRelocationMesh seems to be doing everything that it should; but, I can't get the Extra Wheels to follow it. I've tried attaching them to everything (except the correct thing) and when the ChassisRelocationMesh does its thing, the Extra Wheels fly off into the void or do nothing at all. Do the Extra Wheels work with the ChassisRelocationMesh or do I need to do a work around (the old fashion way). Thanks.

I'm not really sure what your current setup looks like but the way you set it up is by linking/parenting the ExtraWheel_0#_ChassisSuspensionMesh of the Craft ExtraWheels to WheelerExt_01_ChassisRelocatorMesh of Craft 4-Wheeler Extended, like the image below:
Re: Extra Wheel and ChassisRelocationMesh
I tried that. I, also, tried linking to the high poly model. I was probably sloppy in my setup. I'm behind schedual on this project; so, I'm reluctant to spend any more time with the problem. I'll get back to this issue when I have time, so I can see where I made the mistake. If you would like to look at the file, I can send you the access info, in a personal email, for the project Web site where you can download it (it's about 18 MB). Otherwise, I'll get back to you, when I have time, to see where I screwed up. Using the ExtraWheel plugin is so simple that I know I did something wrong. Thanks.

Carl:
One more thing: If you do want to go to the Web site and pick up a copy of the Max file, you need to know that it contains photos from the accident scene. Two children, ages 3 and 8, were crushed to death in the accident. I've removed most of the unpleasant photos; but, some remain. Some people who were at the scene and some of the attorney's secretaries who have children have had to receive therapy. The photos will not be on the home page where you would find the link to the Max file; but, you would be one click away from the accident scene photos. Like I said, the worst of the photos have been removed; but, if you look at the remaining photos, you will see dead crushed children, one week before Christmas, 2007, and those images will stick with you until you die. If you want the access info, please acknowledge that you are aware of the photos at the Web site and the risk you would take if you looked at them. You may have seen a lot of this kind of stuff; but still..., you don't want to pick up any more baggage than you have to. Thanks. - Russ

Thank you for the warning Russ. I'll take a look at the scene and see if I can find any problem. Please send the information to me at [email protected].fonhorn wrote:Carl:
