Craft Director Issue with Sofitmage 2012

Hi I am having a problem using Spline Speed Controller in Softimage 2012 SP1.

(1) I sketched a path

(2) Created a Spline Speed Controller in CDS.

(3) Went to the configuration window for Spline Speed Controller and unticked the box for Use Craft Curve Generation

(4) Selected the Spline_Speed-Controller_01_CarriageNode clicked on the Constrain>Parent in Softimage and Middle Clicked on the curve to make the Carriage Node a Child of the Path.

(5) Moved the Spline_Speed-Controller_01_CarriageNode near the path and clicked on Snap Carriage to Closest Point on Curve.

And BAM the carriage is scaled to 0 and it automatically moves to the center of the World in Softimage(of course)

And everything fails.

Should I not parent the Carriage node to the Curve. Please Advice.

Hi, can't I edit my post?

By everything fails I meant I am unable to use the Spline Speed Controller as a result of the Carriage Node snapping to world center instead of snapping to the curve path.

So, does no one use Craft Director Studio with Softimage? Please guys tell me if I should parent constrain the carriage node to the curve that I have drawn. Or do I need to do something else in Softimage.
