hi,
how is it possible to set up the 4we vehicle to behave like in the epsilon volvo concept?
http://www.craftanimations.com/index.cf ... el-loader/
i'm looking for a solution for the articulated steering and the suspension as well (~sec 50)

i tried a couple of things, like changing the steering turn base. but that was not the effect that i expected, because only the wheels were rotating and not the axle.

is the 4we the right choice for articulated steering of a vehicle like the volvo loader, or do i have to choose a different vehicle?

cheers
foorever

In order to get the movement you are looking for is to combine different tools.

I have used in this example the following tools:
1x 4-Wheeler Extended
1x 1DPositioner
2x 1DRotator
4x ExtraWheelse

Here's an ímage of the example rig that I made for this:

Here's a small video of showing the rig off.

Here's the .max file for the rig.

The suspension going over the bumps is made by just by keyframing the body and use extrawheels to follow the ground.
