Rover Rig Help

Post by Enigma229 » Tue Dec 07, 2010 9:03 pm

Gentlemen, I am trying to create a moon rover and it works using the crawlerExt. The only problem is the geometry that is supposed to be the suspension is not moving up and down as the wheels move over the terrain. I've attached a sample max file of it rigged in hopes you can tell me what I need to do.Thanks.

The file you sent is only partially uploaded and cannot be opened.

Please make sure you have linked the 4-Wheeler's and any extrawheel's GravityDirectionMesh to the ground. Otherwise the simulators will not know what to drive on.

I was able to download the scene and I do not see any errors. I do however see that you have not linked the "high-poly" suspension parts to anything but the main body. My suggestion is that you rig these up with the help of Craft Suspension. You can view a tutorial on this tool at the following youtube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxNTJp5rCns.
