Maya 2010

Post by rambo » Mon Aug 31, 2009 10:32 pm

When we try to load the craft tools in to Maya 2010 (os X) we get and error that this plugin was compiled with an old API and will not work in this version of maya. any eta on and update.
We just purchased the tools so we are eager to get started.
Thanks
Erik

Terribly sorry about this Erik. Micael Belin, head of systems development, is the one who have put the mac installations together in the past, has been away on vacation. He's returning to our office next week and should be able to put a new installation bundle together for the Mac so we can have support on both Windows and OS X.

Hi,

I think I might be missing something here... I've tried installing the updated linked file (apparently successfully) several times, but the plugs are not showing up in my plugin manager in Maya 2010. I still have an old install of Maya09 on my system - would this have something to do with it?

The plugins are initializing fine in Maya '09. Unfortuately, I can't use '09 for the project I'm working on because the model has been saved in Maya '10 and won't open in '09. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm in kind of a crunch and need to buy one of the plugins for this project but I need to know I can get it happy with 2010.

thanks!
Paolo

Paolo, maybe you used an old installation? We just recently released the version that supports Maya 2010 so download the latest version and see if the problem persists.

A common error is that Craft Director Studio is listed in the plug-in manager but it isn't loaded so the user has to load it manually (or check auto load) after the installation.
