Post by hyperviktor » Mon Sep 26, 2022 3:18 pm

Massive issues with car control - needs sorting ASAP.

Using the G29 controller braking puts the car reverse then braking puts the car into forward again and so ... basically it's useless , anyone magaed to get the G29 work ? Any tips please ???

As stated in the other thread. The G29 is a bit odd in how it has it's inputs for throttle and brake.

To invert the inputs go to the advanced setting of the input and set the multiplier to the opposite of what it states.

if it states "-1.0" set it to "1.0"
if it states "1.0" set it to "-1.0".

All that it does reverses the action, so the car will just move into a different inital direction, it should be static upon starting recording and our experience is that it always starts moving by itself. 1 or -1 just changes direction

The logitech g29 is a bit odd as the idle value for the input is set at 0.5 and not 0. It's like the gas pedal is always pushed down with 50% instead of 0%.

This makes it have an input all the time unless this is regulated with the use of the offset feature that you are able to find under Advanced on the input.

We could have made it easier by adding an indicator on what the value currently is and showed this in the graph.

Hello,

I had also noticed an idle value for the input set to 0.5 instead of 0. That's pretty weird though.

HI, I have g923. A is for gas and ABS is for B brake. But how do you go backwards. You have Gas Pedal Forw/Backw We hit detect then gas letter becomes A. Then detect and Brake and it changes to be. So there are no two letters A and B In our old steering wheel we just hit and hold brake. Thanks

You can have a look at this workaround to solve the problem.
