Braking the vehicle on a spline

Post by Robertxyz » Wed Dec 17, 2008 2:57 am

Are you able to get "natural" braking on a 4 wheel vehicle when it is running on a spline (autonomous mode).???

I'm "racing" two vehicles side by side and I want them to stop with the natural physics of the cars weight. Or better yet..have them skid.

Thanks in advance!

The first thing you can try is to decrease the ABS Brake Maximum to make the braking smoother.
If you wish to skid brake you need to uncheck the autonomous mode at an apropriate frame and skid brake the cars "by hand" (or ABS brake).
Use the new hand driven workflow system enhancement ctrl-z while recording. It stops, makes an undo, and starts recording again from the last point you started. To make it easier increase the slow motion factor.
Also, try using the beta version of the 4wext which has improved skid brake: http://forum.craftanimations.com/viewto ... ?f=2&t=148
(if you do my guess is you first need to resimulate the whole autonomous drive, and if the cars now are too slow you need to increase their Gas Pedal Maximum)
