Wheels Deforming
I created a couple animations and the wheels are deforming when I play the animation in Unreal Engine. I have encountered this before in the past with the Extra Wheel for a truck and trailer animation but never with a 4Wheeler and 2Wheeler rig. Also, the only times this seems to happen is when I export the vehicle as an FBX or Datasmith with animation into UE5 or Lumion. I never did figure out the deforming issue with the truck and trailer, but now it's an issue for the 2 and 4Wheeler. Can you provide some guidance as to why this may be happening? Thanks!
Re: Wheels Deforming
I sort of solved the issue, but I am curious why the wheel would deform. The solution was to create a Link Constraint between the high poly wheel and rig, versus linking the two.
Re: Wheels Deforming
Hello,
Have you been able to find a solution for the wheels that buckle? I would be very interested in some feedback.

Re: Wheels Deforming
In general the problem is that Unreal Engine does not seem to like to have things nonuniformly scaled and if that is the case it will be transferred down to its children. The 4-Wheeler is based of the concept to be able to have nonuniform scaled things. Like the wheels. The way top go around this is to use "Position constraint" and "Orientation constraint" instead of Linking.
