how can i stop the car from bouncing in animations? (3ds max)
Hey, everyone. I am new to craft director studio. I went and followed the tutorial on here to rig and animate a truck, but for a nissan i am working on. I follow all directions but then when I press record, the animation clip has a bounce when I play the animation. It does not drive when i do this. How can i correct this?

Hi, Welcome to the forum!
Have you perhaps scaled the 4-Wheeler very much? This can be something that can make the 4-Wheeler behave strange. Make sure that you have the correct measurements of the scene and model.
It's a bit hard to judge what is happening based on just the images. Can you send us the file? You can send the scene to support at craftanimations.com or post a link to the download.

Ok, I have now been able to look at the scene and know what the issue is. You have by accident placed the 4WheelerExt slightly below the 0 point of the Z-axis.
All tools that use a ground to run on (4Wheeler, 4WheelerExt, 2WheelerExt, CrawlerExt, Trailer) use the 0 point of the Z-axis as the default ground when the GravityDirectionMesh is not made a child of a different object to be used as ground.
So, when placed below it is going to try to get back and thus you have the bounce/jump effect.

Ah, how do I fix that in 3ds max? like how do I align the model to make sure that doesn't happen?

As in , how do I place the model and the 4WheelerEXT together at the 0 point of the Z-axis so that this doesn't happen?Patrik Martin wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 11:29 pmOk, I have now been able to look at the scene and know what the issue is. I would say that it will always make a small "jump" the first few frames to settle in. If you like it to be not moving at the 0 frame you can start the animation a few frames before in the minus frames range to make it settle first and then have it stay still at frame 0. Not the smoothest solution but in many cases do you actually need to have it stay still at frame 0 ? I would just cut that out later on.jdelossantos wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 5:41 amAs in , how do I place the model and the 4WheelerEXT together at the 0 point of the Z-axis so that this doesn't happen?
