Animated mesh

Post by dv2000 » Fri Oct 05, 2018 6:51 pm

Hi
I know I talked about animated mesh an car in the previous post. I ma still having problems.
I have a box linked to one car that act like a moving raft. And then I have another car on top of the box that needs to move around the raft and at the same time being transported by the raft. Unfortunately it is not following with the raft. Box is converted to mesh.

PS the only way car will follow surface is when the polygon is animated going up. Left or right car stays
Thank you

Hi dv2000,

Correct, the 4-Wheeler can only follow animated polygons up and down not forward, backward, left or right.

However you can solve the desired animation by:
  1. Make the 2nd 4-Wheeler a child of the 1st 4-Wheeler/box
  2. First animate the 2nd 4-Wheeler first(the smaller one on top)
  3. Then animate the 1st 4-Wheeler (the larger on on which the 2nd drives on)
Good luck!
