Hi guys!
I use 3DS Max and the hole car-rig works fine when i don't link my ground plan to the "gravitydirection"-helper.
But when i link my ground plane to the "gravitydirection"-helper my car jumps up a bit and starts to fly slowly without touching my keyboard.
My ground is an simple flat plane which is rotate by ~3° to match my 3D tracked camera in the scene.
Any idea to bring my car on the ground plan?
thx for all patfish
car is flying when i link the ground to gravitydirection?

Patfish,
Are you using the latest version (v9.3.1)? If not, download and install it and the problem should be fixed:

Re: car is flying when i link the ground to gravitydirection?
Hi Carl!
yes, i do already use the new version. I fixed the problem now by de-selecting the "use fast ray cast" function and decrease the "Ray Multiplier" to 1. Also i figured out that it makes a difference if you link the street to the "gravity direction" helper or reverse. in one case (i already forgot which was the right link direction *g*) the car flies 1m above the street. In the other case it works fine.
thx pat

The GravityDirectionMesh should always be linked to the ground.patfish wrote:Hi Carl!
